NEW ALUMINIUM SHORING BOXES AVAILABLE NOW

Published on Oct 17, 2014

At Shore Hire we constantly monitor the construction industry to make sure we keep up with demand and the best available shoring techniques. We frequently introduce new products, including developing our own, which are certified to Australian standards and therefore perfectly suited to the local industry.

Most recently we’ve added a new range of 4, 6, and 7.2m aluminium shoring boxes to our range of trenching equipment, joining the Shore 3, 4 and 6m steel trench boxes. The new aluminium shoring boxes will be available at every Shore Hire location. The bright and shiny versionshown on this page is the new 7.2m box.

ALUMINIUM PROVIDES FLEXIBILITY

We can confidently say these aluminium shoring boxes are the most robust on the market in certain shoring situations. They will give you even more flexibility to get the job done efficiently, where suited to the task.

Having been independently tested, they are compliant to Australian standards for aluminium shoring products. This is not the case for all aluminium shoring boxes on the market, but you can be certain that every Shore Hire product complies with the highest construction standards.

These new trench boxes are lightweight – as you’d expect of any aluminium product – which makes installation simple for even a two-man team. Components can easily be man-handled onsite and the box can be lifted into place using a small excavator.

SOMETIMES STEEL IS BETTER

Of course, while these aluminium shoring boxes provide flexibility, they’re not suited to all shoring applications. When you’re shoring a trench it’s about using the right product for the job, depending on the prevailing ground pressure and your preferred method of installation. In some circumstances, aluminium boxes simply won’t do and you’ll need to use a steel trench boxfor adequate strength.

The other scenario where aluminium isn’t suited is where you plan to use a dig and push installation. Steel buckets on excavators can damage aluminium boxes and this is not a cost anyone wants to bear after you’ve finished a job.

The good news is, our experienced engineers can assess your requirements and tell you exactly which product you should be using for the job – steel box, aluminium box or otherwise. Even at shallow depths it’s not worth risking using the wrong product. Our rigging team will also deliver and install, if necessary – making your job even easier.

Contact the team at Shore Hire if you’re interested in using the new aluminium trench boxes on your next project.
