Bridge supports

Description

Bridge supports provide bracing during the construction or renovation of various types of bridges including for road, rail and pedestrian use.

Usage

Bridge construction and rectification can pose some of the most demanding shoring and propping requirements and complex engineering challenges. Heavy duty vertical propping is generally required at various points along a bridge, depending on the scale of the job – at abutments (the load bearing ends of bridges), along spans or at piers. Additional horizontal supports may be required for lateral bracing in conjunction with vertical shoring, depending on the application.

It is essential that qualified engineers design and certify a bridge support solution. Typical products used for bridge supports include Shore 1000 and Shore 100
