Excavation Shoring

Description

Excavation shoring is used to support the walls of trench excavations and open excavations during various construction and maintenance projects. 

 

Usage

A variety of shoring products including sheeting and boxes can be used, depending on the size of the trench and the type of work to be undertaken. Steel trench boxes or manhole boxes of various sizes can be installed, either on their own or lined up in groups for longer trenches. These boxes tend to be open-ended to enable access to services, however trench sheets can be used to close off ends and distribute loads.

Aluminium vertical shoring shields can be used to support trench walls through the use of hydraulic pressure. These are ideal for spot bracing, production trenching, maintenance, small utility repairs and installations, where a lightweight but robust system is required. Aluminium waler systems are ideal when excavating in less stable soils that require close or intermittent timber runners or trench sheeting.

Hydraulic bracing systems designed to be used with steel trench sheets and are best suited to heavy and large applications including large tank installations, interceptor chambers, pump stations, storm water pits, gross pollutant traps, bore pits and lift wells.
