Roof Supports

Description

Roof supports are props used to provide vertical support to a roof during a number of construction scenarios.

Usage

Roof supports are necessary to bear the weight of a roof while it is being constructed, or to support loads where columns or walls are undergoing repairs or replacement. Heavy vertical support is normally required at heights for roof propping, particularly in multi-storey buildings where propping of more than one floor may be necessary.

Other applications include the installation of lintels or beams, which require a roof to be supported while masonry is removed. Products used for roof support include trishores and, where lintels or beams are being installed, a combination of an acrow prop and a strong boy is highly effective.
