STANDARD TERMS

1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.

 

WHO CAN ENTER

2.1 Subject to clause 2.2 entry is open to Australian and New Zealand, 18+ years of age residents only.

2.2. Employees, franchisees, and their immediate families of United Rentals are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, or step-sister.

 

HOW TO ENTER

3.1 The Competition commences on 15/05/2025 and closes 17/05/2025 (“the Competition Period”).

3.2 In order to enter, the entrants must complete the entry form on the Competition landing page by providing the entrant’s full name, company name, email address, and contact number.

3.3 In order to enter, the Entrants must agree to receive email marketing communications from the Promoter. Entrants may unsubscribe to email marketing from the Promoter at any time after receipt of the first promotional email from the Promoter.

3.4 Entrants may only enter once.

 

PRIZES AND UNCLAIMED PRIZES

4.1 The winners will be chosen at random.

4.2 The winners will be notified by email and phone call.

4.2 Prizes cannot be exchanged or refunded in any way by the winner.

4.3 Prizes are valid for redemption until 21/06/2025 (one month after draw).

4.4 Any prizes that remain unclaimed for 1 month after the end of the Competition Period will be awarded to another Entrant as determined by the Promoter.  If required, this will occur on 21/06/2025 (one month after draw).

 

SELECTION OF PRIZE WINNERS

5.1 Each Entrant who has entered the Competition over the Competition Period and registered all details in accordance with clause 3 will be entered into the prize pool.

5.2 The winner will be drawn on the 21/05/2025 at the Promoter’ Premises at 27 Transport St, Yatala QLD 4207.

5.3 The winner of the Competition, as determined by the Promoter, agrees to provide proof of age to United Rentals if deemed necessary by the Promoter.

5.4 The Promoter’s decision is final.

 

NO LIABILITY

6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Competition or other as subject to any State Legislation.

6.2 The Promoter, its associated agencies and companies, will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail or email.

6.3 The Promoter, its associated agencies and companies, and the Competition Partners will not be liable to the Entrants or winners for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:

6.3.1 during the draw;

6.3.2 whilst undertaking any travel won in connection with their entry into the Competition;

6.3.3 in the participation in any prize;

6.3.4 as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail or email;

6.3.5 due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person; or

6.3.6 due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s, or any Competition Partners’ reasonable control.

6.4 The Promoter, its affiliates, and the Competition Partners, assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserve the right to take any action that may be available.

6.5 If, for any reason, this Competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Promoter reserve the right, at their discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or any other dishonest act, may take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, subject to State Legislation.

 

RESOLVING DISPUTES

7.1 Any Entrant may email the Promoter ([email protected]) and state their dispute.

7.2 The Promoter will be required to respond within 30 days and set a time for questions and answers if desired by the Entrant.

7.3 From the date of response, a final written decision from the Promoter will be supplied containing concise, reasoned decisions.

 

PRIVACY

8.1 The details contained in your entry are protected by security safeguards as detailed in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. The personal information collected as part of the entry is collected to run the Competition, enable identification of the winner, and for future marketing and promotional purposes by the Promoter. Your personal information will only be disclosed to the Promoter and its related corporate bodies for these purposes.
